I like all the eyewitness guides. The China guide includes very informative information for travel tips as well as interesting background on sights interest and goes into detail about each sight. Highly recomended.

A very useful introductory guide to all the major areas, including Tibet and the NW region. About twice as heavy as other DK guides due to the large topic. Good quick guide to Mandirin phrases in back, though the tonal guide to the Pinyin system is almost non-existent. Strongly recommend this as a great general resource for travelers!
